Xample & Lomax Divulge Collaboration Project Loadstar
Bristol-based Gavin Harris and Nick Hill, made famous within the adrenaline-fuelled world of drum and bass by guises Xample & Lomax respectively, began working together in 2007. Their contrasting styles amalgamated Xample’s raw dancefloor hooks and Lomax’s experimental flair to stunning success with their heavily exposed debut Lowdown/The Latter released on trendsetting label Ram Records.
Forward to right now and the duo coined Loadstar as the alias under which to release their debut album, slated for release in Autumn 2011. Ahead of that, Jules Hallam sat down with them at the UKF Second Birthday rave at London’s Cable club to discuss the origins of the project, how the drum and bass scene has evolved since it’s hayday towards the end of the 90s and forthcoming releases.
