Stephan Uhrenbacher of Qype – The Early Years

We met with Stephan Uhrenbacher of Qype a German local review site, in London where it recently opened a new office. Qype launched 2 years ago in Germany where it now covers over 3,000 cities.It also recently launched in the UK where it competes with the likes of Trusted Places and We Love Local and is about to launch in France.Qype differentiates itself by building a strong community with features such as groups and personal profiles built around tags.
Community members, known as Qypers, also receive coupons that can be redeemed in local shops and restaurants.
Stephan Uhrenbacher parting words to entrepreneurs were to focus on building sustainable businesses instead of trying to get rich quick.
