Songbird, the web based media player

Songbird is a desktop Web player, a digital jukebox and Web browser mash-up, a complete Media Player on the web; ie: you can play your local files as well as web files. Build on the same platform as Firefox, Songbird is entirely OpenSource with over a 1000 extensions.
The company is one and a half years old with already several thousand users, self funded they have recently secured financing from top tier VCs.
