Robert Loch on the Top Cats event and the European startup scene
Robert Loch of The Internet People and Paul Walsh of Segala and BIMA have recently launched a new monthly London-based event called Top Cats that aims to bring together top level executives from various “digital” industries.
Conceived as a way of addressing the disconnect between advertising, mobile, interactive & design sector vs. the startup sector, the event hopes to spur interesting collaboration between them. Robert used an example of Internet startups that depend on the advertising revenue, yet never talk to anyone working in the ad sector.
Robert Loch also shared his views on the European startup scene and how events such as Internet People and Top cats hope to bridge some of the existing gaps in the startup ecosystem.
