Interview with Nick Black of Mappam – location based advertising

Nick Black and Steve Coast, of OpenStreetMap fame, recently launched a new location based advertising network called Mappam.Mappam allows advertisers to display location based ads on a federated network of hosts. Therefore, the next time you search for a parking space on ParkatmyHouse.com for example, you will see Mappam ad icons that you can interact with. As the ad host, ParkatmyHouse.com will receive a percentage of the generated advertising revenue. This is the same ad revenue model that is used by other non-location based advertising networks.
To advertise on Mappam an advertiser deposits money into an account, selects the price per click for an ad and Mappam takes care of the rest.
