Wonga is the first fully-automated loan system to provide short-term loans directly to consumers. People can apply for a Wonga loan (up to £1,000) online and get cash in their account the same day! Errol Damelin, Wonga.com founder, claims this to be a better way to cover cash shortages vs. getting into long-term credit card debt. Wonga.com backed by Balderton Capital, is currently in private beta and is due to launch in the UK this month.
