Dominic Keen recently announced the launch of Mobank‘s mobile banking product, dough-on-the-go.com at the Essential Web 2007 conference
Dough-on-the-go, which will initially target the youth sector, provides access to all the standard bank account features on a mobile phone. In addition, it also enables other innovative functionalities, such as peer-to-peer payments.
Mobank, founded by First Direct and Egg veterans, is looking to bring mobile banking to the masses in the same way Egg introduced online banking to millions of UK consumers. Mobank is currently funded by friends & family, but is looking to raise additional VC funding for further product development and marketing projects.
