inside innovation

We visited Twitter’s office in San Francisco to talk with Biz Stone, one of its co-founders. Twitter which has been around for a year, was the first service to bring the concept of micro-blogging to the masses.
With micro-blogging, you update your friends and family about what you are doing right now by posting short updates. These updates can be sent and received using a mobile phone, IM or a web site.

Twitter which was originally created by Obvious (Odeo.com’s ex-parent company), was recently spun out as a separate company and has successfully raised a VC round from Union Square Ventures et al. According to Biz, the money will be used to hire people and improve the product by introducing new features such as groups, the ability to search, etc.

Biz Stone’s advice to entrepreneurs is to be passionate and to be personally committed to using their own products! sexedate Sounds Obvious… no? (pun intended :-)
