LifeVibes shows off mobile movie making

THE INQ IS a bit of a sucker for ancient tombs, lost treasures and booth babes, so at MWC when we came across a demo of NXP’s LifeVibes MxMedia, with purported ’one-click’ video editing capabilities and complete with Lara Croft style setup, we just couldn’t resist.The firm says its software is capable of making “instantly personalised video, star quality stills and cool DJ sound” at the click of a button on all mobile platforms. Apparently.
Shoot a bit of video, choose a pre-installed or downloaded theme and hey presto, within two minutes, you have a terribly kitschy movie to bung up on facebook or your blog to ‘impress’ your mates. What more could you ask for?Ok, so the clips aren’t exactly as “professional” looking as the firm would have you believe, but it’s a gimmick that might keep you entertained for a few minutes.
