Known for her thrilling live performances, Greek starlet Ilia Darlin is the epitome of style icon and powerpop front-woman. Classically trained at the National Music Conservatory of Athens, Ilia’s performances are pyrotechnic explosions of raw emotion; while her song writing has artistic integrity and mass appeal in equal measure. She has appeared in publications that include Greek Vogue, Esquire and Super Super magazine dubbed her “the most inspiring thing to come from Mount Olympus since the muses”.Following her debut UK single Car Crash, below, Intruders caught up with her in the reddest room at Covent Garden’s Hospital Club to discuss her emotive approach to creativity.
