In their own words: “Streifenjunko makes vigorous music with the rare instrumentation of tenor saxophone and trumpet. Espen Reinertsen and Eivind Lønning apply uncommon instrumental techniques to project a spacious sound with nothing else around.”
Following their live performance at the Quartz Electronic Music Awards in Paris, we found ourselves in the Trianon gallery to probe Espen and Eivind with questions circulating jazz, the Norwegian music scene and the Streifenjunko experiment.
